On 5 June, the Association was pleased to officially formalize a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Oman Energy Association (OPAL) to establish a standardized first aid curriculum. The learning protocols are designed to enhance workplace safety at OPAL, teaching not only general first aid but also tailored curriculum for employees working in the energy and minerals sectors.

The training equips employees with lifesaving skills that will help them respond effectively in the event of a workplace emergency, including injuries requiring first aid and cardiac arrests. The Association’s up-to-date guidelines and techniques will be a central focus of the instructor-led course, Heartsaver ® First Aid CPR AED. Graduating OPAL employees will earn a completion card, validating their proficiency in first aid and CPR compliance with workplace safety standards.
