A Century of Vision
Highlights of the Association’s growth as a global leader
Celebrating a century of impact, the Association now reaches over 100 countries – something unimaginable in 1924 when it was founded as a cardiology society. Back then, knowledge spread through conferences and papers. Today, the Association is a global leader in cardiovascular research, evidence-based training, public awareness and advocacy.
Advancements in technology have boosted the Association’s ability to deliver top-notch education and care worldwide, breaking through barriers such as location, language and resources. With training centers in over 100 countries, it educates millions annually in First Aid and CPR, collaborates with over 150 cardiology and stroke societies, and drives quality improvement, global advocacy and health equity.
